What's in a name....
Our hearts heavy and grief stricken, we share the news of a dear lost loved one and honor the life Juan Garnica, who was 47 years of age, and whose name means "Gift from God".
Another soul, taken too young by cancer during the early morning hours of Monday, October 16th.
Juan, a natural fighter one of the toughest, with fierce determination, was at the ready to take his cancer head on.
His treatment regime started early Summer. Each was met with great pain, which he tried to endure and not show his loved ones how much he suffered. During all of his treatments he spoke very highly of his newfound friend ‘HOPE’, with a white knuckled grip held on as tight as he could.
Knowing his path was long and unchartered, very narrow at times only to be greeted with more pain. For wasn’t alone, he had prayers from near and far and most of all he had Raiza his loving wife by his side through it all. She to a fierce fighter never giving up and letting it show how much she was suffering along Juan, for she too held an even tighter grip of ‘HOPE’.
A cancer survivor herself, hers being cancer found in her brain, now in remission came through, but not without support from her loving Juan and her family.
She accepted nothing less than helping Juan make it through and never letting him go without a fight she made it clear “No, No, not yet”, I’m holding on to him as long as God permits.”
Juan, a loving father, is survived by his four children Luis 27, Cinthia 24, Mauricio 14, and Ramses age 6, who has a heart condition and is undergoing continuous treatments for that.
Juan had a tender, endearing side and wanted nothing but the best for his family, worked to make sure they were always taken care of.
He loved deeply and was passionate. One of which was his weight training, which suited his nature as he had the discipline to work at molding and sculpting both his body and mind and soul.
Always striving to be a better person, a better man, and as for his training well it came from one of the best, not other than his loving wife Raiza, who also shared his passion for weight training, they spent countless hours in the gym as part of their daily devotion to one another and their health. Best quality time spent is doing something you love with someone you love by your side.
In honoring Juan all funds raised will help his family with his cremation, memorial arrangement, and medical bills.
