RE: Beverly Logan ( Formerly Beverly Campbell of Wynne, Arkansas)
My mom's recent fall at home and subsequent stroke turned our world upside down. She was making strides in rehab when her health suddenly worsened just before I moved from Minnesota to Hot Springs National Park to be by her side. Now in hospice, she cannot speak or keep her eyes open, and the fear of losing her at any moment is overwhelming. I didn’t have time to secure power of attorney, so accessing her funds is impossible. Her friends offer emotional support, yet the challenge feels isolating as I navigate this heart-wrenching journey mostly on my own.
Balancing my mom’s affairs has become a full-time task. I'm managing her utilities, arranging for her beloved dog’s care, and searching for work clothes, all while preparing for what probate court will require. The uncertainty of transportation and steady employment looms large, but I press on, motivated by the need to care for her home and future estate matters. Each day is a step towards securing stability amid the storm, and finding peace in the community that has embraced us during this difficult time.
