On April 26th between 9:30 and 10:00 PM, JJ, also known as James Bridges Jr., was in a serious motorcycle accident on his way home after visiting his aunt.
His girlfriend noticed his bike had suddenly stopped moving and told his mom, Amie. They immediately got in the car and drove to where he was. When they got there, the road was already shut down by police.
JJ suffered a broken neck, broken back, broken thumb, and multiple brain bleeds. He is still unconscious and has not woken up. Right now he is in the ICU at JPS fighting for his life.
JJ is only 19 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. He had just started a new job a few weeks before this happened, so he did not have insurance yet. He also has an $800 monthly car payment and other bills that are still there while his family is trying to focus on him getting better.
His mom and the whole family are heartbroken and trying to stay strong through all of this. We do not know what the future holds, but we do know this is going to be a long road to recovery.
We trust God has a plan, and we know He will provide, but right now the family needs help. Between medical bills, missed work, everyday expenses, and everything that comes with something this unexpected, the financial burden is heavy.
