As many of you know, Pam has been in her cancer fight for a while. Her latest scans show new tumors in her chest and new activity in several lymph nodes. She is in palliative care to manage daily pain, and she's undergoing treatment that we hope will shrink the tumors and slow cancer growth. If this treatment doesn't show progress, we will consider clinical trials. These certainly weren't the results we were hoping for, quite the opposite in fact. If the tumors do not shrink, and if new growth continues, she is likely to lose her fight to cancer within a year's time.
Pam never expected to have to close the Popcorn Shop so soon, nor be unable to work due to her health. She's focusing on finding joy in the day to day and she's put together a bucket list that her 4 children and closest friends are helping bring to life on her good days. She misses 'rocking and popping' with you all in Gahanna and there are plans in works to organize a celebration for Pam to see as many people as able early in the new year.
Many have asked how they can help. Above all, please keep Pam in your thoughts and prayers, and keep sending notes of encouragement. They mean the world. If you're compelled to support ongoing medical and day-to-day costs Pam is incurring, please donate or share the link.
Thank you and follow her Pam's Market Popcorn Facebook page for updates.
