Help Grandmom Stay Safe, Healthy, and Comfortable in Her Golden Years
At 82 years old, Grandmom has spent a lifetime giving to others.
Today, she needs a little help in return.
Grandmom was born in the early 1940s on a small farm into a large family. Life was not easy. Money was scarce, and when her father passed away while she was still young, her mother was left with the enormous task of raising many children on her own.
Like many children of that generation, Grandmom grew up quickly.
Instead of enjoying the carefree years many young people experience, she worked hard to help her family survive. Responsibility came early, and sacrifice became a way of life.
As a young woman, she built a good life for herself and eventually married the man she loved. Her husband also came from humble beginnings and understood the value of hard work and perseverance. They began their life together with very little, marrying in his uncle's home and spending years working long hours to build a future and raise their family.
Together, they faced life's challenges with faith, determination, and love.
But life brought more hardships.
Years before his passing, Grandmom's husband began struggling with serious health issues that made it impossible for him to continue working. Medical expenses grew while income disappeared. When he passed away at the age of 70, Grandmom lost not only her husband and companion, but also much of the financial security they had worked so hard to build.
Her family stepped in to help her through those difficult years.
Today, Grandmom lives in assisted living where she can receive the care and support she needs. While she is grateful to have a safe place to call home, the rising cost of living has created new challenges. Rent, medical expenses, personal care items, transportation, and everyday necessities continue to increase each year.
Like many seniors living on a fixed income, there is often little left for unexpected expenses or emergencies.
This fundraiser is being created to help provide Grandmom with additional support for:
• Monthly rent and housing expenses
• Personal care and hygiene items
• Medical and health-related needs
• Clothing and daily necessities
• Unexpected expenses and emergencies
• Small comforts that help maintain dignity and quality of life
Grandmom has never asked for much.
She has spent her life working hard, caring for family, overcoming hardships, and putting others before herself. Now, in her golden years, we hope to give back some of the kindness and care she has shown throughout her life.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help bring peace of mind and provide comfort during this season of her life.
If you are unable to donate, sharing her story with others would mean the world to our family.
Grandmom remains a woman of deep faith and hope. She believes brighter days are ahead and trusts that God will continue to provide through the kindness and generosity of others.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for helping us make sure that Grandmom can continue living with the comfort, dignity, and security she deserves.
May your kindness be returned to you many times over.
