Sadie is our 4 year old fur baby. She is full of engery and loves to check things out by putting them in her mouth. For this reason we do our very best keeping the floors clean and everything put up. Unfortunately I got a new piece of furniture to work on and there was lose facing and well Sadie decided she wanted to sample it. A piece of Wood Veneer has caused a blockage which is really bad for her intestines. She hasn't eaten or had anything to drink now for 5 days. We rushed her to the emergency vet Saturday at 1am because she was vomiting, struggling to go potty, 4 days of no eating or drinking, started to become lethargic and we decided this wasn't just going to pass and she needed help. The exam was done and the estimate for blood work, x-rays, sedation, IV (because she's severely dehydrated) , surgery and after care was given. That was the moment my world fell apart and my heart dropped to the floor. The estimate was $5,000 and was told there's no time to wait because this will cause Sadie to leave us and her sister Cici. I currently can not work due to taking care of my mother full time that went to have a simple PVC Ablation that went wrong causing a Aortic Dissection. While hospitalized we were told she also has the late stages of lung cancer and for these reasons she would need someone to care for her. So I had no choice but to step up because our parents take care of us in the beginning so it's only right we do so at their end. We love Sadie and she's not just a dog or pet to us she's our family member. I feel so helpless and the hurt we feel getting the news and seeing our sweet girl like this is breaking our hearts. Me and my family who absolutely adore Sadie that still has so much life, kisses, balls to chase and snuggles to give could really use your help to save her life that is running out of time. Any donation at all will help and be beyond appreciated. Our home is filled with so much sadness and feeling helplessness at the moment that losing our beloved Sadie Bell would cause complete devastation. Anyone who has a fur baby or has lost their fur baby knows the hole it leaves in their heart and the emptiness that fills the home instead of the barks, kisses, zoomies, and love that once filled it. She's still a puppy and has so many years left to give love and to be loved. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
