Hi everyone!
My name is Avila Fischer, and I'm a high school track and field athlete competing for Beacons Track Club, specializing in the high jump.
I'm excited to share that I have qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics in Iowa after placing 5th at the AAU National Club Championships! This has been an incredible season filled with hard work, dedication, challenges, and personal growth, and qualifying for this meet is one of my biggest accomplishments yet.
The AAU Junior Olympics will be held July 31–August 8 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where I'll have the opportunity to compete against some of the best young athletes in the country. This experience will help me continue growing as an athlete, gain valuable national-level competition experience, and showcase my abilities in front of collegiate coaches. As I begin my junior year of high school this August, the timing of this event couldn't be better, giving me the chance to compete on a national stage during an important year for my athletic and academic future.
To make this trip possible, I'm raising funds to help cover the costs of airfare, lodging, transportation, meals, and competition expenses. Traveling to a national championship is an amazing opportunity, but the costs add up quickly.
