Help Khudoba's Family After the Tragic Loss of Their Son
With the permission of the Hudoba family, I am organizing this fundraiser to help them during an unimaginable tragedy.
Kateryna Hudoba is a devoted wife and mother who is currently six months pregnant with a baby girl. A little over three years ago, the Hudoba family came to the United States on a two-year visa. During their time here, they touched the lives of so many people in the Utica community. Kateryna worked tirelessly alongside her husband, doing everything she could to help provide for their family. On June 11, 2025, they returned home to Ukraine.
Their precious son, Amir, was born at Wynn Hospital in Utica on March 4, 2024. He brought immeasurable joy to his family and everyone who knew him.
On August 6, 2026, the unthinkable happened. Amir tragically drowned in a swimming pool accident. No parent should ever have to experience the heartbreak of losing a child.
Amir is lovingly remembered by his father, Andrii; his mother, Kateryna; his brother, Rostyslav, his sister Anna, his brother Nazar, sisters Victoria, Myroslava, Mariia, and their baby sister who is due soon and his sister, Ester ๐๏ธ (November 14, 2022), who passed before him.
Now, while grieving the devastating loss of their beloved son, the family is also facing overwhelming financial burdens as they prepare for Amir's funeral and continue caring for their children while awaiting the arrival of their newest baby.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward funeral expenses, supporting Kateryna, Andrii, and their family during this heartbreaking time, and helping cover other unexpected expenses resulting from this tragic loss.
