Sadie Canaii has been devoted to the sport of volleyball for the past 4 years. Her journey began on a local rec league with absolutely no experience or knowledge of the game. She quickly caught on to the sport and fell in love with the comradery and supportive community.
For 3 of these years, Sadie has been training with an amazing organization called Midnight Sun Volleyball. Here, she's completed countess training clinics, camps, and competed in comp seasons that play against teams from all over Alaska.
In 2022, Sadie was invited to join their elite travel league for her division. Her team traveled to Phoenix, AZ and was wildly successful in competing against other U13 teams from across the country.
For the past 3 months, Sadie's been not only training for her second national tournament, but she also maintained a full time schedule playing for her middle school team and helped lead them into the 3rd overall spot across the district. (She managed to do all this and still maintain her 4.0 grade average.)
On March 3rd, 2023 Sadie will be competing in her 2nd national tournament in Denver, Colorado. Endless hours have been put in by herself and her teammates to prepare for this opportunity and with this, comes the cost of airfare, lodging, registration fees, and equipment.

Not only do these travel experiences allow for Sadie to develop her skills and bond with her teammates, but she gains national exposure and could potentially be awarded scholarships to help with her education beyond high school.
