Amir Atieya a young persevering and successful young man who is a son, brother, and friend to many was severely injured in a car accident in Columbus Ohio on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 around 11 pm. Amir had been driving home on the road of Lackey Old State and was hit by a semi-truck. His car hit through the front end of the semi-truck and the trailer end fell on top of the driver's side of the car. Amir Atieya was left with two broken femurs, slight internal bleeding, multiple seizures, and had been in a coma for two weeks. He had two femur surgeries done a few days after the accident when they were finally able to stabilize his brain activity and vitals. His femurs were both replaced with titanium rods, each rod alone is approximately $9,600, disregarding installation fees. Upon this Amir has multiple hospital bills from the ICU to multiple room transfers, medications, ventilators, feeding tubes, and more medical attention that will cost thousands. Amir has finally woken up two and a half weeks later and is conscious. Though he is conscious, he needs lots of cognitive therapy due to a lot of trauma to the brain and the multiple seizures that had occurred, as well as physical therapy to help retain balance in his legs. Amir is an outstanding home mortgage loan adjuster with the company Lower and an astonishing JiuJitsu fighter/artist. Amir as well as our family will need lots of love and support during this hard time.
