Rob here I am a 44 year old native from Oregon. I currently live in Arizona for the last eight years.
The last eight years have been full of ups and downs. Lots of lessons learned and a lot of heartbreak. My two service dogs Odin in the picture and Orbit which I’ll add at the end and my Green Cheek Conure Onyx moved into my house in Chandler in 2024.

Nash my life has kind of fallen apart. Not sure if it’s reliving the trauma of the scjhool shooting or it’s just aging.
I had Odin my service dog for thirteen years he was my hero my best friend and everything. He was diagnosed with heart failure in 2025 and passed away in my arms 8 months later. Unfortunately Onyx my Green Cheek Conure passed away as well two weeks prior which totally unexpected.
I lost my mind when my dog Odin passed I lost my entire family it felt. I still have Orbit who has fallen sick but I also came down sick myself in January of this year.
I had a really good day and a really nice place super cheap good quality, but not understood that my dog was sick and it took a lot of money for his health and for my own health. I couldn’t get myself better. I didn’t understand I was going to the doctors. I couldn’t figure out what is wrong with me for months and months and I stayed in bed. I would have the temperature from 100 to 102.4 every way for several months I could barely walk. I had a cough, kind of secluded myself since lost my dog. I I’ve gone to every local church. I’ve gone to every website, including Maricopa County, San Francisco all the Catholic churches all the resources I could possibly find Chandler to help me with the rent. I couldn’t find anything to help me. Unfortunately, I lost my house with my dog on July 6, 2026. My dog and I was thrown out on the street at 9 AM which I understand that my landlord has done amazing things for me and I’m so grateful but also understand that she has a job to do as.well. My dog and I slept in the heat that day trying to stay cool. Slept under my neighbors front porch.
I was hospitalized on July 17, 2026 I couldn’t breathe anymore and had to call ambulance. After being in the hospital a night a DR walks in and says “you have hiv”. And walked right out. The next day the same Dr walks in and says “Sir, your CD4level is 107 you have full blown Aids. I was also diagnosed with pneumonia and Valley Fever. So I am fighting all three right now. I am
Awaiting my valleywise appointment on the 30th of this month to get more details and be able to ask questions.
I am scared and also having a lot of anxiety my car got re poed due to being sick, lost my house, my bird, my dog/hero and now I am skeleton thin and have no where to go
And or no anyone. I am exhausted and trying to do my best.
My goals is to be able to get a running car so I can make my appointments to my HIV dr and other specialists. Get my dog to the vet and keep him healthy and have a place with a/c. My other goal is to get back to work and be apart of society and regain my health and work towards having a home again. Thank you for all and any donations to help my dog and I.
