The Prom Connection was founded in March 2022 by Olivia Travis to provide prom attire to teens who need financial support. All gowns, cocktails, suits, shirts, ties, jewelry, shoes, make-up, and services are provided by generous businesses, individuals, and organizations. Even the building is donated as a “pop up shop” to allow the teens to have a real shopping experience. Between Prom 2022 and Prom 2026, more than 350 high school students in Berkeley, Jefferson, Morgan, Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Cabell, Kanawha, and Grant Counties in WV benefited from The Prom Connection.
As you can imagine, it takes a substantial amount of funding related to storage, display equipment, transportation, and travel. This Spot-fund account has been established to collect monetary donations that will be used for these expenses. Our biggest goal is to be able to afford quality, temperature controlled storage in a reputable, secure facility. We ask you to please consider donating to this amazing cause. EVERY student deserves to have memories of their high school prom. No amount of money is too small-every single dollar adds up quickly.
