Hi, my name is Arin. I never thought I’d be in a place where I’d have to ask strangers for help, but life has taken everything from me in a way I could have never imagined.
Last year, on his birthday, the love of my life, Rob, died suddenly while we were out golfing together. One moment we were laughing, and the next I was on the ground doing CPR, begging him to stay with me. I tried everything, but I couldn’t save him. Losing him shattered my world. He was my best friend, my future, and my home.
After he passed, everything around me collapsed. Even though I work, the bills kept piling up. I couldn’t keep up, especially while grieving and trying to survive alone. I ended up getting evicted from the apartment we shared—our home, the place that held every memory of us.
Then, in the middle of all that pain, I was also recovering from a terrible car accident where I broke multiple bones. I had to use what little I had, and the money I borrowed, to pay medical bills and keep my health coverage active. I was truly doing the best I could just to stay alive.
In desperation, I put my ring—the one thing I had left of Rob—up as collateral for a loan. They gave me $11,400, but if I don’t pay it back by the 5th, they will keep my ring forever. Losing that ring would feel like losing him all over again. It’s the last physical piece of him I have.
I’m asking for help so I don’t lose it… and so I can finally rebuild my life.
I need support to:
- Get my ring back before it’s taken permanently
- Secure a deposit and a stable home
- Get back on my feet so I can accept the better jobs I’ve already been offered
- Finally have a chance at healing, stability, and hope
I’m not looking for luxury—just a chance to breathe again, to stand up after everything I’ve been through, and to feel like my future isn’t gone with him.
If you can help in any amount, it would mean more than I could ever explain. You would be giving me more than financial help—you’d be giving me a chance to rebuild my life after losing everything.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Thank you for caring.
And thank you for helping me hold onto the one thing I have left of the man I loved with all my heart.
— Arin
