My journey in the pet industry started back in 2005 as a dog walker for a local dog daycare. Since then I’ve worked myself up to a shift lead, dog trainer, & have managed a few different facilities. I have wanted to open my own business since 2006, but marriage, Navy life, & kids have pushed that into the background.
Last year, the Lord told me it was time to get to work. My business plan is almost complete, and I have a real estate agent looking for both leasing options and land to build upon. Ideally we would have enough space for 120 dogs for daycare, and roughly the same for boarding. The boarding dogs would automatically be put into daycare so they can socialize during the day vs being kept by themselves. When daycare is over for the day, the large play rooms will be used for training. There will be classes ranging from puppy group classes to advanced group classes as well as private lesson options.
What I’m asking for would go towards the first six months of operating expenses (including salaries), and a down payment for a loan for equipment and supplies.
