Hi my name is Precious, the handsome young man is my son Dezmond. I am a single mom with 2 kids. Dezmond is 11 years old and his sister is 9years old. Both of my babies tested positive on July 27, 2021 and we quarantine for 14 days. They both had mild symptoms. We retested on the 9th of August and everyone was negative except Dezmond but per the health department as long as he quarantine and no longer had symptoms he could return back to school. Well on Friday my daughter came home saying her throat hurt and had a runny nose. Later on that night Dezmond said his head hurt and he ate something to see if it would help but it caused him to start shaking with chills. Around 2am Saturday morning Dezmond begin talking in his sleep which he never does and I checked his temp and it was 104 I gave him meds and took him to the ER and they ran Covid rapid test, strep, flu and everything was negative. My son the next morning was hunched over and in pain so I took him back and still no answers. I finally decided to take him to another hospital and they ran a rapid and PCR and rapid was negative but PCR positive. They aren't sure if he never really got over Covid the first time or if he manage to catch a different strain if Covid. Per doctors orders because he is running a fever he is contagious and we need to quarantine again. I work for a temp agency so no sick or personal time is available and I don't know what to do because bills are still coming in. Please any help is very much appreciated.
