As many of you know, my next PET scan will be on May 20th. This scan should help confirm that the lymph node showing signs of growth is more than likely necrosis, essentially dead cancer cells. I remain hopeful and grateful for every positive step forward.

This journey has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life. Living with something chronic affects you mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially in ways that are difficult to fully explain. There are moments that feel heavy and uncertain, but I continue to move through them with as much hope, strength, and positivity as I can.

I truly cannot thank everyone enough for the love, kindness, encouragement, and support you have shown me along the way. So many of you have checked on me, held space for me during hard moments, and reminded me that I’m not walking through this alone. That kind of support has meant more than I could ever properly express.

I truly believe mindset matters when it comes to healing, and having so many people surrounding me with compassion and support has helped me stay grounded during some very difficult moments.

I wanted to share a quick update. My last PET scan was done in January. One lymph node did show some growth; however, my doctors believe this is from dead cancer cells and inflammation caused by my treatment, not active cancer.

I won’t lie—my initial reaction was complete fear, with lots of tears. Once it was better explained to me, I felt much more grounded. I’ll be having another scan in April for peace of mind.

Standing With Christina as Her Fight Continues

Because of the incredible generosity of this community, Christina’s first SpotFund raised $19,000—support that carried her through some of her hardest months. That kindness helped cover countless medical bills, co-pays, scans, medications, parking fees, and living expenses during the times she was too sick to work. Your support lifted an enormous burden, and we are endlessly grateful for it.

Christina continues to respond well to treatment, and her strength and determination remain inspiring. But as her care has continued, so have the costs. Her insurance premium recently jumped from $200 to $450 a month, and she now owes close to $6,000 to her oncologist. The cost of her upcoming scans is still unknown, and additional bills for medications, blood work, and other necessities continue to appear.

Because the original funds were used for her ongoing treatment these past months, and with rising medical expenses ahead, we have increased the fundraising goal to $33,000. This number reflects both the current debt and the unavoidable costs of continuing care—while giving Christina the stability to focus on healing rather than falling behind financially.
