Meet Tate, Lindsay, and Baby Saint.

On March 15, 2022, The Better Give Back Foundation, Inc. assumed the management of their home.
Tate Townsend, a member of the Creatives on Campus Collective, purchased his home in September 2021. In expectation of a baby boy, Tate and his partner, Lindsay, settled on a beautiful home in West Deptford, NJ.
After only 2 weeks of being in the home, Tate & Lindsays son, Saint Nehemiah Townsend was born. Life for the Townsend family changed almost instantly. After a difficult pregnancy, Saint was born at 37 weeks and only 3 pounds 5 ounces. Saint spent 48 days in the NICU due to what was thought to be growth, feeding and tachypnea issues. They were discharged on November 21st, when Saint was 5 pounds.

After 2 months at home and countless doctor appointments/ED visits, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was able to uncover that Saints airway was compromised. After dozens of tests and scans, Saint was diagnosed with Tracheomalacia caused by an artery pushing on his trachea. After 30 days at CHOP, Saint was discharged. Thankfully, Saint is a candidate for surgical repair, though needs to increase growth before this can happen.
Committed to the journey, Tate & Lindsay have sacrificed their time, Lindsay's full time job and much sleep to care for their son around the clock. CHOP suggested home nursing to assist, but a staffing shortage has made that option unavailable at this time.

To provide the best care for their son, and to benefit from the direct care support of Lindsays family, they have made the hard decision to temporarily relocate to Montgomery County, PA.
Until they are able to safely bring Saint home to NJ, the Lost in the City with Creatives on Campus team has stepped in to manage the home, converting it into a healing house for creatives and emerging leading learners.
It is an honor to steward the home and serve in proxy to financially support Tate and Lindsay with the upkeep of their mortgage, utilities, and a financial gift of $100,000 to assist with the medical bills, loss of income and anticipated & unexpected challenges up ahead.
Thank YOU for supporting Lost in the City with Creatives on Campus at Saint's Place, a residential co-operative bringing relief to families like Saint, Lindsay & Tate, emerging creatives, and leading learners.
