I’m just going to give a brief description without going into too many personal details, because case is still active and my child is so young. 10 month old is court order to go with abusive dad 19 hours a week. Even though dad has an abusive, dv past with myself (mom). Also, dad has active “injury to a minor” case, which is our son, as well as many other pending cases.
I found a great lawyer, but he is charging me $6,000 upfront. Which I don’t have after paying bills. I’m doing everything alone, which is extremely hard, financially. Dad is claiming he isn’t working, so he can’t afford child support or anything to help. Continues to lie to court and the judge. We have a no contact protective order on my behalf. The court is refusing to extend it to my son. Therefore I need help with a lawyer. I’m truly concerned about my son safety when with dad because my son can’t speak for himself. I am his voice! I am his advocate! The judge isn’t taking me seriously.
