Three brave individuals have taken a stand against racism in the Buffalo Police Department. Officers Brandon Hawkins, Katelynn Bolden, and Mental health professional Erica Seymour experienced direct, blatant racism from their Captain of the Behavioral Health Team in which she made several racist and offensive remarks about black people, even emphasizing the use of the N word at one point. Their cries and complaints led to no result or discipline, until 7 months later once a lawsuit was brought forward. They have faced such backlash and retaliation for doing the right thing, while their captain sits at home unbothered and sheltered from the hostile work environment she created. Brandon has been out of work due to medical concerns the department is ignoring, placing his physical self at risk while being on the street. Katelynn is currently on an unpaid leave due to increased and mental health symptoms and stress concerns being ignored by the department which led to her suffering a severe panic attack after trying to returning to work. Erica has been unfairly terminated from her position with Endeavor as a result of the lawsuit. These three, brave, black individuals should not be  ostracized or treated as outcasts when they did the right thing. This benefit is to support them and assist them with whatever obstacles they may, or continue to face as a result of making such a courageous and important decision. They have put it all on the line for their people, so they're asking their people to support them in any way they can! Three voices alone is difficult. But being united as community we can force change!
