This is my son, Logan Lackey.

If anyone has had a long journey, it is this guy. Logan is graduating High School this year with a high GPA and he is starting college to work on a Mechatronics Engineering degree.

However simple this may sound in writing, it was not easy for him.

At a very young age, Logan was diagnosed to have ADHD and for various personal reasons, he was further behind than most kids his age. We were told this was always going to be the challenge in his life.

In typical Logan fashion though, he overcame so many odds. By 3rd grade, Logan had a middle school to high school level reading comprehension and reading level. By 5th grade, he was playing cello in Orchestra. Logan eventually moved on to the double Bass instrument, where he played all the way to 10th grade and he even made it to be one of the top region bass players his freshman year.

When Covid hit, there was no real plan in place by our education system and this could have set him back again. For Logan, in all the challenges at home... that was not the case.

In 9th grade, Logan joined JROTC where he was also in Armed Drill his 9th and 10th grade year. He also studied programs pertaining to engineering and robotics, where he eventually got to participate on the robotics team. In his 11th grade year , Logan helped take his Robotics team to state.

Logan has spent 4 years in JROTC and Robotics related courses and he has decided to pursue a career in Robotics. This could not have come at a better time, since Mechatronics Engineering is a new and innovative degree that will take him far.

Just like with anything else in life, there is an expense.

Unfortunately, the cost of College is always on the rise, and on campus living is just as expensive. Scholarships are everywhere, but just not always in the right places and in some cases, they should have been offered (given the hurdles Logan cleared to get to where he is at today).

This is where your donations come in. With your help, Logan can continue climbing his way to success without having to worry so much about how he can afford to go. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and Logan will be grateful for your support. I truly believe that your support will also show Logan that he is not alone in this and that he can one day pay this forward to help others. Thank you for your time.
