IF YOU STOPPED AND ARE READING THIS IT MEANS SOMETHING.IT WAS MENT TO BE.IF ANYTHING IT’S A GOOD STORY THAT CAN SHOW YOU THAT WHEN YOU GET HIT FROM EVERY DIRECTION AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE AND GOING FORWARD ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

 IVE WORKED HARD FOR EVERYTHING MY WHOLE LIFE TO LIVE AND REALIZED IT WAS MY DESTINY TO HELP PEOPLE EVEN IF AT MY OWN EXPENSE.  BEING PROUD OF MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS IT TAKES A LOT OF BALLS TO ASK FOR HELP FROM STRANGERS, BUT WE ARE ALL IN THIS LIFE TOGETHER AND ONE ACT OF SELFLESS KINDNESS OR ANYTHING YOU DO HAS A CHAIN REACTION THAT EFFECTS SO MANY PEOPLE.

THIS IS A CRAZY LAST DITCH HOPE IDEA I HAVE TO TRY TO GET DONATIONS TO SAVE WHAT IS LEFT OF A DREAM AND  OF A NEW YORK CITY LANDMARK AND MY LIFE. I SAID WHY NOT, WHAT MORE DO I HAVE TO LOOSE. I FIGURED IVE SEEN PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK TRADE BOTTLES OF WATER FOR TESLAS,THE MUSEAM OF NATURAL HISTORY WAS WILLED A PERPETUAL FUND OF LIKE 20 MILLION SO THERES FRESH FLOWERS EVERYDAY, AND MR. BEAST GIVING AWAY ISLANDS (HES AMAZING BY THE WAY-HE HELPS PEOPLE) I ALSO HELP PEOPLE.

IM IN THE BUISNESS OF MAKING PEOPLE HAPPY, BUT AFTER 25 YEARS I LOST EVERYTHING AND I FIGURE, I LOOK AROUND AND SEE ALL THESE MILLION DOLLAR APARTMENTS(A LOT) THERES SO MUCH WEALTH IN THIS CITY AND I ASKED GOD WHAT TO DO, AND THIS IS WHAT POPPED INTO MY HEAD.

:) Hello, My name is Stitch (Jason) So Im doing this in a last ditch effort to keep my life as I know it to cease. Amongst to many obstacles, I managed to have the dream story of employee to owner. Now facing the nightmare ending of being penniless and homeless. I figured what would it hurt, other than my pride at this point, to do something crazy to fix this and I prayed to God and this is what popped into my head. Im like, I look back at all the good Ive done the community and the world by being who I am and doing what I do. Thats running-owning the greatest Costume and Alternative store in NYC or anywhere. Halloween Adventure and Gothic Renaissance. In the business for almost 25 years to make people happy. Make it so they have fun and looking and feeling good doing it. Ive been blessed with this ability to be good at it. Ive been blessed with being able to meet so many incredible people. and working at a place that is a safe haven for all walks of life, giving so many a comfortable and great place to work when you've been shunned by everywhere else cause of the way you look or love. So here I am now, in this predicament. and begging the universe for a miracle. I believe Im a good person. Good things do happen to good people. If nothing comes of this but someone being able to learn something from my story, at my expense, it still helped someone. I figure like for example, there are museum's in the city that have been willed 20million in perpetual stocks to pay for cut flowers ever week. I also look up at all of these hi rises. there is so much money in this city. I figure maybe someone could help me, or anyone for that matter cause im doing this for everyone. Oh it also turns out-of course- my lease of 17 years is up where I've lived and I have to vacate by the end of the month with no where to go. with zero money.-was actually  a couple months ago- I need to get out before they throw me on the street. How is that. Well here goes.

So I got my partner at the time a job at Halloween Adventure 25 years ago.  They asked me to help out that Halloween. That turned into asking me to Manage the Goth Store next door. Fast forward to today now the Owner. My boss Tony always told me a story of the janitor boy at a company he always said hi too who became the owner. I always remembered that story. Funny also when I was a kid I lived in Woodbridge NJ and used to go to a place called Menlo mall. I remember the first temporary Halloween Store I ever saw. I was amazed like a kid going to Disney land the first time. Low and behold Tony was probably asking me if I needed help with anything. So funny to think all these years later the life I had because of him. Who I consider a father and mentor to me. So anyway, The company became corporate and Tony retired, two women who were my friends became managers of the Halloween store and started to have a resentment to me. because the goth store was successful all year and it drove them crazy. it was all about getting credit with them. I'm like all I care about is making the customers happy I don't care who did what. I'm not one to talk bad about anyone. I have ZERO hate in my heart. I traveled the world buying for the store with one of them. they made me not want to go to work that's how bad it was and I still smiled and still harbored no hate., a bankruptcy happened and I was the only one who didn't get let go from both stores, and just because they chose to hurt me by not paying any of my vendors telling me I'm not aloud to speak with any of them. they are my friends. anyway they start liquidation than Covid, closed, than I reopened Both. Owner to Goth Ren, Manager to Halloween Adventure. And this is the second time writing this. I erased it all as I was going to save it. My emotions are a little ahh.lol but used to things like that happeneing to me. Heres a quick summary of some obsticals I overcame to give NYC the store back and the employees a job back. Well for starters my Aunt God mother ,mother #3 to me from birth died, than my mother #2 from 3 step mother died than partner died . brought him to the hospital new years eve Eve and because new years people wear masks I stayed late which I always did to make extra money for the company and my partner never spoke again than died.right before my 40th Bday and my dog Gypsy , our children, was killed by a car on the way to the funeral.and i just lost Atticus our other dog son just recently,  Kept it going. My cat died on my way out the door the first day i went back to the store. like mouth to mouth resusitation while my hot water handle broke and scalding hot water was showering me and it wouldnt shut off. just lost my last two grandparents 3 months apart, just to name a few. So closed for covid,watched my partner of 15 years die on a ventilator so PTSD hardcore. Company went bankrupt, came back, than  closed for good after that halloween. Than opened again that year and a full liquidation of inventory. So then with no job and after working for all those years i was like ill give it a go and try to reopen the goth store. But i always felt they were together and I treated it as such both stores and these people were all my family. This place had some employees for 15 years. we all grew up and cherished this job. Its a buisness for making people happy and dress up your imagination. I made countless vendors very rich with my ideas, if you dress up for Halloween or alternative burning man chances are you have one of my designs. Never asked for a thing. but seeing your stuff on people having fun rocks. I've learned a lot regarding that.. so I  Opened with NO money. because of the bankrupsy all my vendors unknown to everyone but me made me pay all the owed money from the bankruptcy as extra shipping like almost 300k.the Halloween store is a block long wirh two entrances one on 4th ave one on broadway. I paid for EVERYTHING with cash from one vendor beliving in me and turned that into over a million in 2 months. Not one bill owed. So Halloween store closes for good january. I cant allow that. It makes me crazy.You can watch the documentary they did on me everyone telling me not to open the Halloween store. keep the goth store. it's a sure thing. But I couldnt.see it closed or my Family be out of a job and the city .So manage to work it all out and they give me the keys OCT 15th. offically owner of both. Pay the insane rent deposit and also bank wont give me credit cause of a couple old late cc payments. 1million in my acct and no line of credit. I swear. everyone told me to let that halloween store go and I was crazy for doing it. I couldnt help it and I do it all over again cause they are both open because of me. So I got I'll and my sister took over for a while. and I made her a partner and after all was said and done owed back rent for you guessed it the amount I had to repay that wasn't my fault. And to walk away and break even because my sister was on everything sold it back to the original owners. Her breaking even. Me with Nothing not a dime. I literally slept at this place. Worked everyday. Now,The employees are still employeed. All the same which goes to tell you the devotion they have to the store. Fast forward to now. after all the rent and taxes, this halloween would have put me in the green novemeber 1st. But I got screwed and landlords were going to pad lock the doors. The only extra money i had i gave to my sisters to buy a house so my neice and nephew had a place to live. and that was only 20k.  So 0 days to move out of my apartment and l lost everything. I tried. hey I kept it going. Im getting emotional Im going to cut this., I've been grateful for the experience and the people I've met and lives ive changed. It wasn’t just a Halloween store it was a NYC landmark and safe haven for anyone to express themselves. So what to do? I prayed to God and asked what to do in this last ditch effort and This popped into my head. And Im the type of crazy person to do something like this. I figure If I had nonstop mutual funds and millions in the bank id help people like myself. Cause I understand what it's like. But I'm on a uber time crunch. Like they are completing the transfer and rent cancelation as we speak. I have a couple days to create a stay. and after 17years my lease is up and i have to leave my apartment which is extra hard because of my memories with my late parter love of my life. no where to live- no money- (do you have a rundown house apt you want to just ditch or whatever. my dream was to live next to the store, they just sold by owner the 4 story next to it on park ave. huge apartments. i wouldve lived there. I pretty much did anyway. from a month ago to having it all. would be sitting pretty if i listened but the halloween store would be a mass production food place or something and the city needs it and i wouldnt be able to live with myself. Its still open and they all still have there jobs.  its also a secret shortcut from 4th ave to broadway. If this managed to be read by you, someone who can help. Grateful beyond words. If you don’t donate anything and just red this, I hope this at least brought you a story of love and devotion for a dream. I've been very blessed and fought so hard for everything. I've attached a documentary they shot at the store after the bankruptcy closing so you can see what it's all about. I love what I do. I love Making people happy! I love when a couple and their daughter come in and say you sold both of us a mask separate, we met at that party got married and this is our daughter because of you. So many stories like that and so many wonderful staff I consider forever family. I'm grateful for your time reading this and smile. Life is a wonderful amazing gift for all of us.
