Update: After several fits and starts, I will begin drivers training for my hand controls during the first week of November.
Hi, my name is Susan Weiss and I’m a 65 year-old professional living with mobility and hearing challenges. For the past three years, I’ve been unable to drive due to disability and the lack of a suitable vehicle. This has limited not just my ability to work outside the home, but also my connection to the world beyond my front door.
I’m raising funds to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van equipped with hand controls—an essential tool that will allow me to reclaim both my independence and my professional life. With your help, I can attend appointments, rejoin my community, and resume working in person.
