Hi!
My name is Ella, and I have been given the opportunity to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer. I will be majoring in Choir and minoring in Creative Writing.
I have always loved singing, and it is one of my favorite ways to express myself. I’ve taken private voice lessons and participate in workshops that focus on musical theatre performance. In these workshops, we focus on singing, dancing, and acting, taught by Broadway professionals from around the country.
I also participate in Take It From the Top, a week-long summer program taught by the same team as Company. Company is a high-energy monthly workshop, and both programs push me to grow as a performer.
I am in my school choir and audition for every opportunity to perform a solo because I want to keep getting better and push myself outside my comfort zone.
Every time I perform, I gain confidence and learn something new. Before I graduate high school, one of my goals is to earn a role in our school musicals.
I create stories and characters, turning boring worlds into fun, creative ones. After college, I want to become an author and inspire people with my words and stories. I will always keep learning and make my writing stronger than before.
Attending Blue Lake would give me the chance to:
• Strengthen my alto voice and technique
• Continue building my performance skills
• Grow as a writer
• Gain confidence both on stage and on paper
I earned a merit-based scholarship and am now working hard to raise the remaining funds to attend. This opportunity means so much to me, and I am committed to doing my part to make it happen.
