I am Sanad, from Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, and today I am displaced in Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip. I am 36 years old and the sole provider for my family of seven: my wife, Nidaa; my sons Faraj, Ramez, Bashir, and my daughter Bara’a; and my youngest son, Fadl.
While trying to obtain humanitarian aid in eastern Khan Younis, I was shot in my right leg. Since then, I have been suffering from a painful injury that has severely affected my ability to move and work. I can no longer fulfill the role I once carried as the sole provider for my family.
We now live in a deteriorating shelter under extremely difficult conditions, without water or electricity, and with no source of income or regular assistance. What hurts me most is seeing my youngest son, Fadl, who is only two years old, constantly needing milk and diapers while I am unable to provide even his most basic needs.
I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to provide food and basic necessities for my family, care for my little son, and ease some of the pain and hardship we are going through.
Any help, no matter how small, can make a real difference in our lives. If you cannot donate, sharing our story may help it reach someone who can. 🤍
