It is with a heavy heart I write this, as our brother, Jamey, is nearing the end of his battle with Myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood cancer. According to his doctors at IU Health, he has 6 to 12 months to live. He has undergone various treatments under the care of several specialists, but they simply aren't working.
Despite the challenges he's faced, his spirit remains strong, and he's expressed some final wishes that we're eager to fulfill.
One of Jamey's greatest desires is to spend quality time with loved ones in his last months, which involves moving from Indianapolis, Indiana to Daytona Beach, Florida, where his closest family members reside. He would also really enjoy a family vacation. However, due to the extensive medical expenses and other related costs, we're facing significant financial constraints.
I'm reaching out to ask for your support in helping us raise funds to make Jamey's final wishes a reality. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will bring us closer to granting him the peace and comfort he deserves during his remaining time.
Funds raised will be used specifically for travel arrangements and moving expenses. Any additional funds raised will be used for memorial/cremation funds, and to support Jamey directly and his family during this difficult time.
Your generosity and kindness will mean the world to our entire family. We're grateful for any support you can offer.
Respectfully,
Sheri Johns & Melissa Homa
