Abigail Edan's Family Fund

On October 7th, our niece Abigail Edan was kidnapped and held hostage by Hamas in Gaza for 50 days. Abigail was in her father's arms when he was murdered on October 7th by Hamas terrorists after her mother was also brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists in their house. Abigail's siblings, Amalia (6) and Michael (9) witnessed both parents' murder and survived locked in a closet for 14 hours.

Our other niece, Liron, and her husband, Zoli – who themselves managed to survive the brutal attack after spending more than 30 hours in a bomb shelter – will adopt the orphans and raise them alongside their own three children.

We are reaching out to you to ask for any contribution that could assist them in making a fresh start for their newly extended family, formed under such traumatic circumstances.

Liron and Zoli have lost family members and close friends, their home and their sources of income. For the sake of their new family and in order to create the most stable environment they can for the children, they have decided to begin anew and have found a house in the new village  that can accommodate the needs of their newly expanded family. They intend to invest all their energy and will in creating a safe, warm and loving home.

In the wake of the catastrophe, the orphan’s grandparents – who are themselves survivors of the massacre – have decided to move in order to dedicate their lives to their care and well-being. To do so, they have applied to a retirement home near Liron and Zoli and the six children.

Thus, a family of ten needs to restart its life from scratch, under unimaginable circumstances – and that is the reason we are writing to you. Any donation that could help them, starting with moving and furnishing their new home, would be greatly appreciated.

We would also be grateful if you could forward this letter to anyone else who you think could assist.

With Love and Gratitude,

Keren and Doron Breen
