Hi everyone, my name is Melanie. Recently, my life was turned upside down when I had to undergo two sudden, back-to-back ankle surgeries here in Fort Worth. It was a terrifying ordeal, and while I am incredibly thankful to still have my foot, the physical and emotional toll has been immense.
Right now, I am facing the massive challenge of adjusting to life using only one foot. My mobility is completely restricted, and my doctors are uncertain about the exact timeline for when I will be able to walk again.
Asking for help is not something I do lightly, but the medical bills from two unexpected surgeries are piling up quickly. Without the ability to walk or work my usual routine, covering basic living expenses has become overwhelming. My biggest priority is keeping life as stable and normal as possible for my 12-year-old son, Noah, but the financial stress is making it incredibly difficult to just focus on healing.
I am raising 3500 to help bridge the gap during this uncertain time. The funds will go directly toward:
Medical Expenses: Copays, medications, and any necessary mobility aids to help me navigate safely on one foot.
Living Expenses: Rent, groceries, and utilities while I am out of work recovering.
Transportation: Safe transport to and from my follow-up medical appointments and physical therapy.
I am so grateful to still be here and on the road to recovery, even though the road is going to be long. Whether it is a $10 donation, or simply sharing this page with your friends and family, your support means the absolute world to us. Thank you for reading, for checking in, and for helping me get back on my feet.
