I never imagined I would be asking for help like this. My ego has resisted this with feelings of pride and shame, but through my study and practice of A Course in Miracles, I recognize that those feelings are not the Voice of God. Instead, I choose to trust.
I live on my own and work in retail. I am able to live within my means, but there is rarely anything left over at the end of the month to save. Over the years, ACIM has helped me replace fear with peace. Rather than worrying about the future, I continue to practice placing it in God’s hands.
Recently, I had to put $1,500 on my credit card for unexpected car repairs. My car is essential for getting to work and taking care of everyday needs. At 65 years old, finding additional employment is not as easy as it once was, so this unexpected expense has become a real burden.
