Hello. My name is Brittany Goodwin. I have a wonderful, courageous son who is 12 years old that was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma back in May of 2021. Learning that news devastated our family and changed our lives. Our lives did a complete 360. Since then, my son has received lots of rounds of chemo treatments. He’s relapsed 3 times since diagnosis and we’re currently in treatment. We also have to travel to another state for treatment soon to fight this cancer. I unfortunately had to take a leave of absence from my then full time job and drop out of college to care for my son. I’m making this fundraiser in hopes of getting support for my son and family, and medical cost, while goingthrough this difficult time. Khalil is now a bright 6th grade student at Alcorn Middle School in Richland County School District One who continues to fight courageously against stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer of the nervous system. Despite his challenges, Khalil’s smile, strength and love for learning continues to inspire everyone around him. His treatment journey now includes a 30-day stay in North Carolina while previously completing treatments here at Prisma Richland, MUSC in Charleston, and the Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. We are scheduled to be in North Carolina on 10-19-2025. I have devoted my life to my son while he’s been fighting cancer and unfortunately I haven’t worked since his diagnosis back in May of 2021. This situation has caused a financial strain as we manage medical, travel, and daily living expenses. Your donations-no matter the size-helps ease this burden and are received with heartfelt gratitude. Most importantly, please keep Khalil and my family in your prayers for continued strength, healing and hope.
