Dear Friends and Family,
Siloe and I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply important with you all. As many of you know, I’ve been navigating the challenging journey of stage 4 endometriosis. This disease has already caused us to lose eight precious angels, and unfortunately, it has returned with even more intensity. I’m scheduled for a very invasive surgery in early February to treat my stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. While this surgery is necessary for my health, it will also affect my ability to have children in the future.
After much prayer, reflection, and conversations with my doctors, we’ve decided to pursue IVF treatment as a final option prior to the surgery. Our doctor is hopeful that starting the egg retrieval process—freezing and preserving my eggs—will give us a chance to use them after the surgery. This is a critical step, as it will not be possible after the surgery due to the nature of the procedure. While it feels like a final step in many ways, We still hold on to hope, trusting that with God's grace, He will make a way for our hearts’ desire to be fulfilled. My doctor remains optimistic, which gives us strength.
This journey is filled with both hope and uncertainty, and it’s at this crossroads that I’m reaching out to you, our friends and family, who have been such a source of love and support. Because of the urgency of the situation, we are on a very tight deadline to raise the necessary funds for the IVF egg retrieval and an eventual embryo transfer after surgery. I know this is a tight timeline, but we truly believe that with faith and the support of those who love us, God can make a way.
We would never ask unless it was necessary, and we understand if you are unable to contribute. What we ask most is that you keep us in your thoughts and lift us up in prayer. We believe in the incredible power of prayer, and we know your prayers will sustain us through the emotional, mental, and physical challenges ahead.
We choose to remain hopeful, trusting in God’s timing and in the love that surrounds us. While this road is not easy, we are beyond grateful for each of you walking alongside us. Your encouragement, prayers, and understanding mean more than words can express. We could not do this without you.
Thank you for being a part of our journey, for the love, light, and encouragement you bring into our life. We will keep you updated as things progress, and we are so deeply grateful for your continued support and prayers.
With love,
Lauryn, Siloe (and Dolly) Lopez
