My name is Patrick Creed and I am returning to Ukraine to assist the Ukrainian Army in their fight against the Russian invasion. Previously, I was in Ukraine from mid-March until the end of May.
After returning home, I almost immediately felt like I had not contributed enough, and needed to return. It is hard to explain, but inner motivation to go back to Ukraine has been overwhelming and constantly on my mind. My family is supporting my decision, even though it will be tough missing the Holidays, and not knowing when I will come home.
My goal is to work with a mobile training team that teaches advanced tactics, planning, and organizational skills to Ukrainian troops. We will work close to the front lines, and assist however possible.
Since this a volunteer position, I will be paying many of my own expenses. This includes airfare to Poland, and ground transport in Ukraine. Ideally, I will be able to acquire a vehicle and night vision goggles, to help with night driving. I have already invested in winter gear appropriate for Northern Europe, where the climate is similar to Massachusetts or New Hampshire. Add to this body armor, helmet, and everything else needed for working in a challenging environment.
I would be deeply grateful for any donations you can make. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and I hope that this conflict will be resolved soon.
