My name is Yohanna and I want to host a pumpkin fest for families with special needs. This event is to provide an event that is sensory and judgment free. We need to provide pumpkins, crafts, bounce house slide. We want for our kids to experience face painting. We also want to have ice cream and treats.
I was blessed to have a son with autism. He has changed my life. Every day there is a new challenge. I've learn that not every where is special need friendly or welcoming. He wanted to experience what other children were experiencing. When he got too excited he would clap and flap. He got stared at and made him Feel uncomfortable. I came up with an idea last year to have yearly pumpkin fest for our kids. Last year I met so many wonderful families and we saw many kids try new things because of a welcoming environment. Please help me make this pumpkin fest happen again.
