Help Support Our Family During My Husband’s Cushing’s Disease Journey
Our family is reaching out for support as my husband faces treatment and surgery after being diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. This diagnosis has brought many doctor appointments, follow-ups, medical tests, and uncertainty for our family.
My husband is still working and doing everything he can to continue providing for our family, but he has already had to miss multiple days of work for doctor appointments, follow-up visits, and necessary medical testing. Unfortunately, each missed day means lost income at a time when we are also dealing with additional medical and everyday expenses.
His surgery is planned for mid-September, and afterward, he is expected to be out of work for approximately 4–6 weeks, possibly longer depending on his recovery. We don’t know exactly what the recovery process will look like or when he will be able to safely return to work. During this time, our household will be without a significant portion of our normal income.
We are asking for help to ease some of the financial burden while he focuses on his health and recovery. Donations will help with lost wages, household bills, groceries, transportation to medical appointments, medical expenses, medications, and other necessities while he is unable to work.
Asking for help isn’t easy, but right now our biggest hope is for my husband to have the time he needs to recover without the added stress of worrying about how we will keep up financially.
