Since 2016, County Roads Rescue has been a beacon of hope for pets in need across east Texas. Our journey, filled with love and dedication, has allowed us to rescue around 2,500 animals, providing them a safe haven from harm. Yet, even with unwavering commitment, we often find ourselves battling circumstances beyond our control.
At present, we balance between two facilities: one, a rented space that strains our monthly budget, and the other, our own, but sadly, it sits in a flood-prone zone. Years of persistent flooding have taken their toll, leaving our beloved refuge nearly non-functional.
However, a new chapter is on the horizon. We have been blessed with a golden opportunity to purchase a 6 1/2 acre plot of land. This land, safe from the floods that have plagued us, is the perfect foundation for a new dream facility—a place where we can continue our mission without the fear of nature's setbacks.
