**Dear Friends, Family, and Community Supporters,**
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend, Navonna Garrett, who is currently facing a challenging situation due to a recent diagnosis of osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disease that has significantly impacted her ability to work and live her life to the fullest.
Navonna and her beloved companion, Harvey, have deep roots in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was educated in Philadelphia and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her passion for knowledge led her to England, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Translational Neuropathology. Upon returning to the States, Navonna began her career as a Senior Scientist at Merck Pharmaceuticals, where she made valuable contributions to her field.
Unfortunately, the debilitating effects of osteoarthritis have made it increasingly difficult for Navonna to maintain her work and lifestyle. The severe pain she experiences has forced her to rely on a cane and, at times, a wheelchair, making mobility a significant challenge. This has robbed her of the active lifestyle she once enjoyed—weekly walks in the park, dancing, drumming, and being a vital figure in her community.
As we work together to support Navonna during this difficult time, we are establishing an emergency fund to help cover her rent and essential living expenses. With rent due very soon, we are aiming to reach our goal as quickly as possible to ensure Navonna and Harvey can keep a roof over their heads during this challenging transition.
Every little bit helps, and your support—whether through donations or sharing this campaign—would mean the world to Navonna. We are immensely grateful for your love and support as she navigates this difficult journey. Together, we can help her get back on her feet and eventually return to work in a capacity that suits her needs.
Thank you for considering helping Navonna during this time. Your kindness and generosity will make a significant difference in her life.
With Gratitude,
