Hi My Name is Emmy Imma and I fled South Sudan a month ago with some of young gay and lesbian friends. It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life when me and my boyfriend got married. SADLY we were attacked by the homophobic community and my boyfriend and my dog were killed! I escaped with 15 friends from my wedding party and we have been walking in the bushes until we got stuck here at the border because we were hoping to reach Kakuma refugee camp for some help and relief π₯. South Sudan is the worst place for LGBTQI+ people, Uganda is the same.
We have not had food for days. I guess everywhere is no longer safe.
Thank you so much for standing with us and helping us to get some essential items like food , sanitary pads for the lesbians, soap, mosquito nets to prevent Malaria. and transport fare to the camp ($20 each)
We have heard bad things about the situation at Kakuma Refugee camp for LGBTQI+ and we have decided to take an abandoned house and fix it up as our Safe House here in South Sudan.
Please help and make it for us!
Bless you, Emmy

I'm sorry to say, we lost a member of the group. He ventured out to the border to look for Emmy, and he was raped and killed. It wasn't safe to go retrieve his body, but we got a candle to do a memorial. What we need now is $80 for a phone for the group of 13 now, as they wait there when Emmy goes to work or for supplies.
Help the puppy and my LGBTQ Safe House friends with food...it's very expensive in South Sudan ! And they, both Gay & Lesbians ( and dogs) are unwanted in Africa, even by their own families. They are at risk and we R trying to create a safe house for them to live in peace! Having the puppy is part of Emmy's healing. ( U can read his story in the SpotFund. )
