Friends and family, I’m finally going back to school to finish my degree in electrical engineering. I left school to pursue a career in the Navy, and after leaving the military, life kind of took over. During this time, I lost my mom to cancer, and lost myself along the way. I spent a lot of time in a depressed state being my own worst enemy and shutting out the people that I love the most. I’m finally in a better state of mind and trying to get my life in order, and finishing my degree is a major part of it. In addition to making myself proud and putting myself in a position to better provide for my family, I know that this is something that would make my mom smile. I have been accepted to return to Savannah State University in August, but need the money to afford a place to stay, help with tuition and books, and keep me afloat until I’m able to sustain a job in the area. Anything at all that you have to offer is greatly appreciated, and a share is just a valuable.
