My family and I are on the verge of losing our home in Springfield. We are two days away from eviction, and the fear of being without shelter has been overwhelming. With nowhere else to turn, I am reaching out for help to raise $2,000 by Friday. The thought of losing this home not just impacts me, but also my children, who have only known this place as their safe haven.
For years, we've struggled to make ends meet, but this recent setback has taken us by surprise. Despite working multiple jobs and cutting back on every unnecessary expense, we're still short on rent. I lie awake at night, worried about how to explain this situation to my kids, who should only be concerned with their studies and enjoying their childhood.
Springfield has always been our community, full of memories and a support network that we can't imagine leaving behind. I am trying to hold on to the hope that we can stay if we find the help we need. It’s incredibly difficult to ask for assistance, but keeping my family together and under one roof is all that matters right now.
The uncertainty and looming deadline have been incredibly stressful, but I am holding on to faith that there’s a way through this. Any support goes a long way in giving my children a stable environment and the chance for us to stay where we belong.
