Help Save Theo: Urgent Medical Care Needed

I wanted to send out an update to everyone who didnt get a chance to see my story update on facebook. We lost our boy today. He took a turn overnight. They had been weaning his oxygen down, and he got to 40% high flow O2. But he wasnt about to maintain his pulse ox above 90% so he ended up going back on 100% O2. Unfortunately, he started decompensating with his saturation in the 80s. His heart was working very hard and he started throwing offbeat contractions. They began him on a lidocaine drip. They did another chest X-ray to look for air in his belly (as a possible fixable cause for the worsening symptoms). All we saw was worse pneumonia. At this point he was severely struggling for every breath and his pulse ox was in the upper 70s. The doctor did not think Theo was going to make it to get the test results back from the lung lavage.

We were able to get there this morning to pour our love into him. He was alert enough to make eye contact with each of us. I think he was telling us each it was time. He was tired, he was struggling, and he was scared. We made the hardest decision of our lives and decided it was time to let him rest and let him go.

We surrounded him with our love and the love of EVERYONE and held him while he drifted off to sleep.

There are no words to express the love and gratitude I have for every single person who stood behind us, donated, sent up prayers, and gave us the strength to fight for our boy. We can rest tonight knowing we did absolutely everything possible to save him. And I have you all to thank for that. I will never forget the generosity of people near and far.
