This here is Rubble. He's a great dog, a good boy, playful, energetic, biggest damn heart I've ever seen on a dog, literally wants to make friends out of every critter he sees, besides groundhogs for whatever reason lol.
So Rubble is a good dog, he's family, and he deserves better than the hand he's currently dealing with. I wish I had my stuff together so I could afford to take care of his need myself, but I'm only just now set to start a decent job later this month on the 26th. Luckily, we were able to afford putting him on Embrace pet insurance with what I earned on my last job, but we're not sure if they'll help with preexisting conditions. And Rubble is currently dealing with a major preexisting condition.
On his right shoulder, he's got a mass of flesh growth made up of blood and pus. It doesn't cause him pain, but it's grown so big it's definitely a tumor of some sort. He isn't showing symptoms of it being something life-threatening at all; he's as playful and energetic as ever, with as healthy an appetite as ever, but remedies at home aren't going to cut it. A few months ago, it was a minor bump that was barely noticeable, but it got worse fast, and I don't have the ability to treat it myself, nor would I if I did. Surgery is his only option at this point, and it's unfortunately a lot more expensive than I was expecting. UPDATE: The growth is cancer, it's a benign tumor but it has grown very large and may require Rubble having one of his legs amputated. I was gutted when I heard the news, but if there's a chance Rubble can still live the rest of life happily post surgery please help me give him that chance. As it stands I am currently working but it will take me months or years to save up the money required for the surgery, time Rubble simply doesn't have. He needs surgery in the next few weeks or months at most. Please help with anything you can.
I'm not sure exactly what it will cost, but whatever is left after the surgery is successfully done, I'll use to either put in his bank account for future emergencies or donate it to another person dealing with a pet emergency of their own. I'll definitely also be posting the receipts of the surgery just for transparency's sake as I've never done something like this and don't really know proper etiquette. Any amount donated is deeply appreciated, and regardless of whether you choose to donate or not, thanks for taking the time to read up on Rubble and have a great day!
