I have someone very near and dear to my heart. My younger cousin, She was just diagnosed with cervical cancer a few weeks ago. A 10 cm tumor mass on her cervix and canal and has already had multiple blood transfusions due to her losing so much blood. A 33 year old mom to 2 beautiful boys.. When her sister told me she could barely keep it together. She has been working her butt off to be able to pay for her sisters medication, food, helping with the bills, trying to transport her to and from the hospital which is over an hour away, taking the boys to and from the grandmothers house. The hospital trips are probably the hardest part bc only the sister has a reliable vehicle. They are trying to live off the sisters income, and shes struggling in every way to not only pay for everything but also be strong for her sister and nephews. But will not stop because " I have to save my sisters life, theres nobody else that can really help". As the conversation went on i asked if i could start a go fund me for her. I am states away with no way to really help the ways i would love too. The sister is fine with it but the other one is scared to let people know that she is sick. She has always been one to take care of herself and boys, never asking anybody for anything. But now when it is needed most she doesn't know how to ask. She don't want to have to answer calls and explain it over and over to people. She feels like people will just pitty her. I know shes scared, who wouldnt be?
How does one go about trying to help in a situation like this? My heart hurts for all involved. I want to help relieve some of the stress on both the sister and the mom who is sick. Any little thing helps.
My hopes is to raise enough money to help get a cheap but reliable vehicle for the long trips to the hospitals and appointments, money to pay for the medications and help with food and rent.
