Hello Everyone,
I'm Olivia, sister to an amazing woman named Martha D. Around the end of December 2024, Marth was diagnosed with B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It is a painful, aggressive cancer in her lymph nodes, her neck, and her abdomen. She is undergoing tests, scans, blood work, and biopsies to see if the cancer has spread to other areas of her body. She has had a chemo port placed, and once it is ready, the intense treatment plan will begin, including chemotherapy and nutritional healing therapies.
Martha is deeply loved and respected by all who know her. She is a practical, straightforward, open communicator who finds answers and creates solutions to meet everyone's needs. Martha naturally connects with everyone she meets and has a way of making each person feel valued. Throughout High School and Nursing Training, Martha advocated for her classmates just as she always does for her family. As a nurse and a practitioner, kind and compassionate service to others has been her life's mission and goal. Thousands of people have been recipient of her knowledge, skill, and intuitive touch. Now, it's Martha's turn to be on the receiving side, and experience firsthand what it's like to be the patient, the sick one, the one in need.
Martha is covered--for a while--by insurance, with a $650 monthly premium, plus co-pays and percentages until her out-of-pocket max is met. Just in the first 20 days of January, she has paid out around $2000 and the insurance has covered $62,000! Coupled with lost wages and living expenses such as housing, travel, vehicle, etc, the financial burden is already overwhelming.
Marth is brave and confident, and maintains a great sense of humor, especially medical humor. Her strength and positive energy ignite others even during her toughest times. We know she will face this challenge with determination and graciousness. For Martha, God is her strength and she knows He will guide her through this chapter of life.
We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help Martha D financially through this tender time. Every contribution makes a difference. Even if now isn't a great time to contribute, the road to recovery is long and will continue month after month for this brave soul. *spotfund offers a recurring contribution option. Your support is very appreciated and lightens the load.
Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and community. Donations, prayers, and well wishes from everyone who knows and loves this beautiful person, as well as those who are moved by her story, are welcomed.
Thank you!
