A few weeks ago RaeDell’s son became sick and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Despite starting oral antibiotics, his condition worsened. After another ER visit and IV antibiotics, he was admitted to the pediatric floor for treatment and chest physiotherapy.
When he wasn’t improving, doctors performed a CT scan and discovered a large fluid collection around his lung. He underwent a procedure to place chest tubes, but doctors found multiple pockets of infection and had to place two tubes.
Because his lung infection is so severe, he has now been airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Denver, where doctors expect he will likely need a VATS procedure (a surgery used to remove infected fluid and help the lung heal).
This has been a frightening and overwhelming time for RaeDell and her family. They are now facing travel, medical, and time-away-from-work expenses while focusing on helping their son recover.
If you are able, please consider donating to help ease the financial burden during this unexpected medical emergency. If you cannot donate, sharing this page and keeping RaeDell’s son in your prayers means so much.
Thank you for supporting RaeDell and her family during this difficult
