Derron and Deliyah have qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics for Track and Field, which is being held in Houston, TX this year!!! BUT they will need your help to get there! They are fundraising for travel expenses, lodging, and food costs for the entire week.
They had to finish in the Top 5 of each event in their Region to qualify to participate in the AAU Junior Olympics. They have both trained VERY hard to get to this moment. It took some blood, lots of sweat, and definitely some tears to get here but they DID IT!
Derron trained hard, and pushed himself beyond his limits to achieve these successes this season. He qualified in 2 of his events...the 4x400m, and 4x800m.
Deliyah had a great summer season and has been perfecting her craft. She put in lots of work and is showing that she will be a force to be reckoned with in her hurdles. She is going in the 200mH!
They will be training even harder for the next few weeks in preparation for the Junior Olympics that starts the end of July.
