My son has been sitting in county prison for two and a half years, still has not had trial.  I paid $10,000 for an attorney three and a half years ago, only to find out after six months that he had an alcohol problem. He would cancel court dates or just not show up when scheduled. We fired him and had to get a Public Defender.  They worked with my son for almost a year and then his P.D. quit the job entirely, setting my son back again. We have contacted a new attorney and she’s fantastic, but she costs money. I am on disability and can’t make consistent payments, which I am trying to do to retain her for trial.  She has been gracious to take payments but still needs to be paid.  I’m hoping some philanthropic folk may read this and want to help a mom and son out. He has not been offered a speedy trial and has no way to earn money himself so I have been taking care of everything for so long. If you can help out with anything, I and he would be forever grateful.  Thank you
