Missi is primarily my partners cat, he’s had her for 14 years. I’ve been lucky enough to be with her for 4. The first time I saw Missi I said “this is the cutest cat I know, she’s perfect.” The love Sean has for Missi is truly no different than the love a father has for a child. She’s his little baby. Recently she’s been experiencing some challenges and health related issues which of course come with age but the problem appears to be more than just age. Sean (my partner) has had hit a rough patch financially due to some health related issues. I do what I can but I’ve had to take over all monthly expenses for now and it’s left us helpless when it comes to vet visits. We managed to get her in for a routine checkup but we were then directed to get some more extensive tests ran.
Unfortunately the cost of vet visit after vet visit isn’t something we can afford nor did we expect. We will be taking the funds collected to go towards missis health, even with old age I believe she can still live a more comfortable life with medication or some other means. This cat is something special, she’s been my best friend when I felt like I had no one else. She likes to watch you when you’re in the tub and she has very specific taste for pates(thanks to me.) I do believe she’s my partners true companion and with the decline in his personal health it’s been making it difficult to keep a clear head. No matter what, he brushes her everyday even if he’s not feeling well. The money would be a huge blessing we aren’t certain how much everything is gonna be when it’s all said and done. Any remaining funds that don’t go towards Missi and her health will be donated to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
