I never thought I'd find myself here, sharing something so personal with you. My sister has been bravely facing cancer, and we know her time left is precious. She has a wish that's incredibly important, and I'm doing everything I can to make it happen for her.
Earlier this year, everything changed after a semi-truck accident. My insurance didn’t cover as much as I hoped, leaving me with unexpected bills. Living in our tight-knit Napanoch community, we've always managed to get by, but now it's really tough. We have just $661 a month between us, and most of it goes towards bills. My parents are supportive, but they can't help financially.
It's hard watching my sister's health decline while also dealing with my own back troubles. Tasks that used to be simple, like climbing stairs, have become challenges. But right now, my focus is on making her wish come true, no matter what. The kindness of those around us and memories of our happier days keep me going.
We're hoping to take her to a place we loved as kids, where we shared so much laughter and joy. It's not just about a wish; it's about bringing a bit of peace and happiness to her now. Knowing that you're there with us in spirit means the world to me during this difficult time.
