Hello Friends!
Some of you know me through my children. You may remember my Wheels 4 Rachael fundraising to help my beloved Rachael obtain her needed wheelchair and van. Thankfully, through great support from many of you, and hundreds of baked pies, I was able to obtain her van. She traveled everywhere with us from New York to Florida to the Vineyard, until her death in 2019.
Many of you know me through dog training. I may have trained your service dog. I may have trained you dog at your home with behaviors needing correction. I am still training and boarding dogs, and I will continue to do so from my new wheels.
Many of you are life long friends. You have known me for my entire life. Watched my love for children and being a nanny, my theater productions and my travel with Up With People and through my school years.
Of course, there is Gabe! The joy of my life. The reason my heart continues to beat. I want to remain active for him. Everyone loves Gabe and he is so precious. Keeping up with him is imperative.
Many of you know me from church. My love for the Lord and my wanting to serve and obey him in any and all ways I can.
My wish is to remain as active as I can. Be that on my feet or in wheels. However, my mobility right now is at 20% at best, when walking. I have a very rare and degenerative arthertis, as well as a few autoimmune diseases. It effects my bones and joints. I will be getting a hip replacement soon. That should help me considerably. However, my lower back and spine is effected. My life has changed and chronic pain is what I deal with daily.
Thankfully, I have amazing clients and friends who have all said when the transition to a chair and van arrives, they will help. I am now at this point. How ironic my daughters required wheelchairs and 1 required a van. And now their mama need the same. I want to remain as active as I can for Gabe. He deserves a mom that can still take him fun places!
I am asking for you to share this fundraiser far and wide. Please help if you can. If you can't, no worries. I feel confident I will reach the goal and return to better and safer mobility.
Thank you! I'm sending love and God Blessings to you all.
Jennifer
