On August 30th Ryan had a terrible motorcycle accident. He was on a highway going to help his dad when something was in the road and he tried to swerve to miss it but ended up losing control and went into the ditch. He suffered numerous injuries. He has several broken ribs, broken facial bones, severe pressure on his head, and his pupils were not reacting. He was taken by LifeLink helicopter to the nearest hospital.
When he arrived at the hospital the took him to surgery right away because he had a small brain bleed and they needed to relieve the pressure on his head. During surgery they removed 3 large hematomas. They were also lucky to stop the bleeding and helped relieve pressure on his head. He now has reactive pupils. He will have another surgery in the future to repair his skull.
Ryan has a heart of gold. He is a volunteer firefighter and first responder. He also reached another goal and was accepted on a search and rescue team. We belonged to motorcycle clubs that would raise money for kids or special needs. His motorcycle was his true prized possession. Ryan is the type of guy who would give his shirt off his back if you asked for it. He always wanted to help.
Ryan is truly my rock. Three years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He made sure that he was with me at every doctors appointment or my cancer treatments. No matter how tired he was from working all night he was still there. I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
Ryan always made sure that I didn’t have to worry about anything. I only had to fight my cancer. He worked hard to make sure all of our bills were paid so again I didn’t have to worry. Now that burden rests on my shoulders and I don’t know where or what to do. If you donate it will be used to pay his medical bills and help pay to keep a roof over our heads.
