My name is Omar Jadallah. I am 29 years old, a husband, and a father of two little girls, Maria and Hoor. ❤️
Before the war, I worked, supported my family, and had a home where my children could feel safe.
Since October 7, 2023, our lives have been destroyed by war. We have lived through bombardment, destruction, displacement, hunger, and fear. We were forced to leave our home and move from place to place, seeking somewhere safe. We stayed in schools and shelters, only to see that even places where displaced families sought refuge were not always safe.
Then our home was destroyed. 💔
Today, my house is nothing but rubble.
And even that rubble is beyond my reach.
New boundaries have been imposed around the area where our home once stood, and it has been placed under Israeli control. I cannot return to my neighborhood or even reach the remains of my own home to recover what is left of our belongings.
Everything we had is gone.
Today, my wife, my two daughters, and I live in a worn-out tent.
I once had a home where I could protect my children.
Now I am trying to protect them inside a piece of fabric. 😔
Last winter, rainwater flooded our tent and destroyed what little we had left. Now another winter is approaching, and I am terrified of going through the same experience again.
I am asking for your help to provide the basic things my family needs:
🏕️ A new tent to protect us from rain, cold, and harsh weather.
☔ Tarpaulins and materials to build a covered walkway so my little girls can reach the toilet without walking through rain and mud.
💧 A water barrel, because we currently depend on a few old, damaged containers that cannot store enough water.
🧥 Warm winter clothes for Maria and Hoor, because their clothes were buried beneath the rubble of our destroyed home.
🛏️ Proper mattresses, because we currently sleep on worn-out bedding placed almost directly on the sand, leaving us in pain every morning.
I never imagined that one day I would have to ask strangers for help.
I was always the person trying to provide for my family.
But war took away my home, my belongings, my stability, and my ability to provide even the most basic necessities for my children.
I am not asking for a better life.
I am asking for a safer night for my daughters.
For a tent that does not flood.
For warm clothes when winter comes.
For clean water we can store.
For a mattress that allows my children to sleep without pain.
🙏 If you can donate, even a small amount, you can make a real difference to my family.
And if you cannot donate, please share our story. Your share may reach someone who can help us.
I lost my home.
I lost almost everything I owned.
But I am still fighting every day to protect Maria and Hoor. ❤️
Thank you for listening to our story, for caring, and for standing beside my family. 🕊️
